1. Eat Meals Regularly

3. Cut Back On The Fat

Another effective way to control diabetes is to include more beans in your diet.  Beans, pulses and lentils are high on fiber content, low on fat content and are loaded with many nutrients.  These foods help to control blood fats like cholesterol.  Some of the ways to include chickpeas, beans, lentils and other such foods in your diet is by adding them to salads, soups, burgers, hummus and other such items.

7. Add More Fish To Your Diet

People who have diabetes must also include more fish to their diet. All types of fish are good sources of proteins and omega 3 fatty acids which can protect against heart diseases.  But make it a point to avoid fried fish and aim to eat varieties like mackerel, salmons and sardines every week.
